Tim Scully is an intelligence analyst and senior leader with over 30 years experience building and leading operational capabilities in the Australian Government and industry, in particular in the national and international intelligence & security communities. He has played lead roles in developing operational responses to intelligence and security challenges, and remains a strong contributor to security policy development and thought leadership.
Following his role as Head of the Defence Security Authority, Tim led the development of the Australian Government’s Cyber Security Operations Centre. Later, as CEO Stratsec & Head of Cyber Security at BAE Systems Australia, Tim led the merger of Stratsec into BAE Systems, and led the latter’s entry into the Australasian cyber security market.
He is a founding, independent director on the CREST Australia Board and is the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Defence Systems Innovation Centre’s Data to Decisions Cooperative Research Centre bid. Tim is a founding director of the independent consulting company, Stoneleigh Consulting Pty Ltd.
